According to myth, the Meliae were born from the blood of the castrated sky god Ouranos, which fell to the earth. They were closely connected to the life force of the ash trees and were considered guardians of these trees.
The tones of the single 4mm Australian sapphire set in 9k gold reflects the vibrant colours of the ash trees. Naming this ring after the Meliae seemed fitting.
Meliae is a dainty ring with a 1.2mm band, set with double prongs. Perfect as a promise ring, it can be worn as a stand alone or stacked with stone encrusted bands.
